Warm colours are any variation of red, yellow and orange. It's warm because it's generally associate with the sun and fire. It reflect passion, happiness, enthusiasm, and energy.

Cold colours are made up of green, blue and purple. They are the colours of nature and of water so they are more calming compared to warm colours.

Colours can also represent something. Examples:

Royalty - Purple ( Or to be precise, violet). It gives a sense of luxury.

Freshness - Green. Most plants are green)
