I know for a fact that some people have very vivid imagination, they can see extreme details in their heads. For them, it's just a matter of translating those images onto paper. Unfortunately for me, I do not have that ability. Imagination I have, specification not really. So I draw and the drawing becomes the thinking. My head starts to spin with all kinds of possibilities as I push the graphite onto my paper. What if I use a darker stroke here or add some flowers here? Flowers...flowers... I like flowers. Can I have flowers for eyes? Why can't I have a meadow instead of hair so I can have flowers growing on my head? Flowers for hair?! And the list goes on and on...
