I Assignment 2 I mon·o·gram

ˈmänəˌgram
noun
  1. 1.
a motif of two or more letters, typically a person's initials, usually interwoven or otherwise combined in a decorative design, used as a logo or to identify a personal possession.

Up until now, all our assignments are meant for self-exploration. To help us figure out who we are as designers, what's our style, and if design is even suitable for us in the first place. Glad to say that the latter does not apply to me, if anything at all, I am more motivated than ever. Now that we know ourselves a little better, our next assignment is going to reinforce that. We are to create our own monograms.

Here's the layout of the assignment:
1) Create our monogram
2) Stencil it on 6 items
3) Create a poster of it
4) Make a pattern from it

So what is a monogram? To me, a monogram is our identity. It tells a story, it suggest who we are, who we want to be. If anything at all, it is our personal branding, a logo to represent us.

Examples of some awesome monograms:
