The carnival is in town;

After lots of hard work, our high-striker is finally done! The best part is, it works! Well, sorta. It broke after the first strike but at least that was a home-run and it served its purpose.

So how did it all come together?

After buying the materials, we did a little calculation and marked them on the wood. We sawed some of the wood by machine and when the wood workshop was closed, we sawed it by hand. After that, we sand it with some sandpaper so that the wood would be smoother and the paint would go on it better.

We had to carve the holes ourselves because we had no drill.

When it was assembled, we sprayed paint it and added minor details such the markings for the height and made a support system at the back so that it would stand on it's own.

Here is the final product and some other pictures from the carnival.

Our high-striker!

A group shot.

Overall, everything went smoothly and the carnival was a success. If I learned anything at all from this project is that tolerance is a necessity when you work in a group. Opinions will clash but if we all have a united goal, everything will work out.
